Concept Note –
There is something magical about the near-touching hands of God and Adam, it’s an icon of humanity. My attempt at this classic painting represents ‘Genesis’ along with the Garden of Eden and the forbidden fruit.
– God’s right arm is outstretched to impart the spark of life from his own finger into that of Adam (Yellow)
– Adam’s arm is almost mirroring God’s, a reminder that man is created in the image and likeness of God
– The Garden of Eden is represented by the top corners. This is also the theme for spring, renewal and rebirth (Green)
– The stage for all this action is Heaven, a symbol of trust, wisdom and sensitivity (Blue)
